“Well, I never imagined myself doing this,” he said. “This is incredibly interesting — I feel like a schoolboy, just hearing about something brand new and being excited about the discovery.”

With those 23 words — conveyed to me through spirit on June 4, 2015 — Mark Twain started a short but sincere dialogue with me that would ultimately calm many of my own thoughts about the afterlife, as well as make up one of the unique entries in my book, Dying to Tell You: Channeled Messages from the Famously Dead.

But I digress.

I used to be a court reporter. Now I’m reporting for a higher court—not the U.S. Supreme Court but the Celestial Court. My book, a collection of channeled messages from the famously deceased, carries endearing messages for anyone seeking hope and insight into the afterlife. But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what Twain himself has to say about his experience after death (excerpted from pages 149-151 of my book):

“I’d say that is the biggest difference between our two worlds, the intensity with which you people move – and live! Here it is nice and slow and deliberate and restful.  Even the “doing” is restful and pleasant. Everyone is at peace here. We are busy doing things, but the feeling of peace and tranquility prevails.

Nothing is denied you. You see, there is no boredom here. Action, adventure and learning are all options here.  However, unlike on earth, it is done in a graceful, refined way.  Like the movement of a ballerina, soft and graceful.

To those of you who fear death, oh please believe me when I say it is bliss, incredible bliss. The divine beauty of this sacred dwelling place simply cannot be described.”

Twain had more to say, of course, as did nearly 25 other well-known personalities from the arts, entertainment and political spheres. Suffice to say, reporting has its advantages.
